The Cuban reggaeton artist Yomil Hidalgo confirmed the violent death of a very close friend in Cuba. The passing of the young man, known as "El Tresto," has caused deep shock in the neighborhood of Cayo Hueso, in Central Havana.

The incident reportedly occurred at Parque Trillo around 10:00 p.m., according to multiple testimonies shared on social media. So far, authorities have not released any official information confirming the circumstances of the event or the full identity of the victim.

The news began to circulate from the account @un_martitodurako8_live_oficial, where dozens of users claimed that the young man allegedly died after receiving multiple stab wounds.

A witness identified as @n.a.o.m.y.0.5 stated that they witnessed the attack. "It was in the middle of Parque Trillo. I saw it; no one told me about it," they wrote. Other comments suggest that witnesses tried to take him to a hospital, but El Tresto did not survive.

The heartbreaking words of Yomil

Hours after the news broke, reggaeton artist Yomil Hidalgo confirmed the loss through his social media with a message filled with grief. "Yesterday, life took one of my best friends away from me again… We were just the two of us against the world," he expressed.

The artist recalled that El Tresto had been by his side since the beginning of his career and described him as a loyal and close person. "In my life, he was one of the healthiest and funniest people... I lost the most handsome and brave little guy that Cayo Hueso has ever had," he wrote.

In one of the most striking statements of his farewell, he declared: “Key West is once again in mourning. They killed Tresto.” His words reflect the magnitude of the emotional blow this new loss represents in his closest circle.

A friendship marked by music and loyalty

The relationship between Yomil, El Dany, and "El Tresto" dates back to the early years of the duo Yomil and El Dany. According to the artist himself, they shared challenging moments, dreams, and growth both on and off the stage.

The death of El Dany in December 2020 had already left a deep wound in Yomil, who has confessed on more than one occasion that he has not been able to overcome that loss.

Now, with the passing of another close friend, the pain once again strikes their innermost circle. Following the events at Parque Trillo, the Cayo Hueso community remains shaken by an incident that has once again cast a shadow over the neighborhood.
