The Miami-Dade County tax collector, Dariel Fernández, reminded the Cuban regime's chancellor Bruno Rodríguez Parilla that he has no moral authority to speak about peace following the attack by the U.S. and Israel on Iran.

“Bruno, the communist and socialist dictatorship of Cuba has no moral authority to speak of peace, sovereignty, or international law. It is the same regime that murders its own people, imprisons dissidents, collaborates with the terrorist state of Iran, and sows chaos in our hemisphere,” Fernández said on X.

"Cuba defends Iran because tyrants protect tyrants. The United States and Israel acted to stop a nuclear threat and protect innocent lives. We stand for freedom, we stand with Israel, and we will never accept lessons from a regime built on lies, repression, and terror," he added.

Fernández reacted to Rodríguez Parrilla's statements on a day that began with bombings and could end with the confirmation of the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Through his , Foreign Minister Rodríguez Parrilla stated: “Cuba condemns the attacks carried out this morning, February 28, by Israel and the United States against Iran, violating its sovereignty and territorial integrity, which are occurring for the second time while discussions on the nuclear issue are ongoing.”

Rodríguez described the actions as "irresponsible" and stated that they "undermine international peace and security, and constitute a clear violation of International Law and the UN Charter."

He also warned that “the international community must mobilize to immediately stop the treacherous aggression.”
