A Cuban has sparked reactions on social media after posting a TikTok video where he mocks the complaints of some residents in the United States about gasoline prices.

In the clip shared by the account @ravelo.viral, the man humorously responds to those who think paying around three dollars per gallon in the United States is expensive.

"Hey you, stressed out complaining in the United States because gas is three dollars a gallon... come over here, imagine how it is with the price of fuel," comments the Cuban sarcastically.

The message continues with a comparison that summarizes the difficult economic reality on the island. "Here in Cuba, it's ten dollars per liter. Imagine that the salary is about ten dollars... your salary goes on a liter," he states in the video.

The post mixes humor with social criticism and has been shared by numerous users who point out the disproportion between Cuban incomes and the cost of fuel.

In Cuba, access to gasoline has been a recurring problem in recent years, characterized by long lines, shortages, and price increases that impact both transporters and citizens who depend on fuel for their work or daily mobility.

In the midst of this situation, many Cubans turn to social media to express their frustration, denounce everyday difficulties, or, as in this case, use humor to depict the economic crisis facing the population.

The video has gone viral precisely because of that mix of irony and reality, reflecting the contrast between the cost of fuel and the low wages that prevail on the island.
