A Cuban resident in the United States went viral on TikTok after posting a video in which he claims that Miami is “paradise on Earth,” while showing the accumulated snow in the state where he currently lives.
In the images, the man captures the surroundings completely covered in snow and, visibly affected by the low temperatures, sends a direct message to the Cubans living in South Florida.
"Cubans living in Miami, gentlemen, take care of Miami, because for five more dollars an hour, this is not a life, this is not from God. Miami is the only city that is a paradise on earth, and that is not up for discussion," he states in the video.
While focusing on the height of the accumulated snow, he insists on comparing the weather conditions with the warm and tropical environment of the Florida city.
"All this city going up, to the north, is madness, my love. When the snow arrives, look at the height, look at the height… Here I tell you: take care of Miami, which is paradise on earth," he adds.
The testimony has sparked divided reactions on social media. Some users agree that the warm climate and Latin atmosphere make Miami a prime destination within the United States, while others point out that each state offers different advantages based on the cost of living, job opportunities, and personal preferences.
The video adds to other viral content in which Cubans compare their immigration experiences in different states of the country, especially during winter, when the snow and low temperatures starkly contrast with the climate of South Florida.
