The Israeli Army announced this Friday a new round of “large-scale” attacks against infrastructure in Tehran, amid an offensive that, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), is part of the “15th wave of attacks against the terrorist regime’s infrastructure” in the Iranian capital.
Israeli authorities did not provide further details about the objectives achieved, according to the agency EFE.
In a message shared on their Telegram account, the IDF reported on a "new wave of large-scale attacks against the infrastructure of the Iranian terrorist regime in Tehran," without specifying which facilities were targeted by the bombings.
Hours earlier, the Army itself had stated that it had begun a new phase of operations over the Iranian capital.
According to another military communication cited in the original text, 50 Israeli fighter jets attacked and destroyed the underground military bunker of the late former leader of the Iranian regime, Ali Khamenei.
Israel maintained that this facility remained "an important infrastructure for senior officials of the Iranian regime."
The document also indicates that Jamenei died on Saturday the 28th, along with part of the Iranian military leadership and hundreds of others, amid bombings attributed to Washington and Israel.
Add that the numbers of victims have continued to rise as the attacks intensify.
According to the same source, Tehran responded with attacks against Israel, which reportedly resulted in ten deaths, as well as actions against several military bases and U.S. embassies in countries in the region, including Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
The bombings this Friday occurred after an especially intense night in Tehran, described in the text as the hardest since the beginning of the war, with scenes of terror, panic, and crying in the city center.
The escalation has lasted seven days, according to the information provided in the document.
The material adds that the attacks on the Iranian capital have been ongoing since Israel and the United States began the war the previous Saturday.
So far, the source reports, more than a thousand Iranians have died, and thousands of buildings have been destroyed across the country.
Likewise, the Israeli military claimed to have attacked more than 400 targets in various areas of Iran, including ballistic missile launchers and drone storage facilities.
