A Cuban, known as "trump del posito" on Instagram and residing in Miami, stated in a video shared on that social network that he wants to become the mayor of the Los Pocitos neighborhood in the Havana municipality of Marianao, promising to transform the area and attract tourism.
In the recording, the man claims that he plans to initiate a complete renovation process for the neighborhood and the municipality, with improvements to streets, parks, and schools, as well as attracting investments.
"I am going to be the mayor of Marianao, primarily of Los Pocitos," he said during the video, where he outlines his idea to reorganize the neighborhood and promote development projects.
According to his explanation, his proposal includes upgrading the area's infrastructure to facilitate visitor arrivals and turn the place into a tourist destination.
"We are going to fix the streets so that the tour buses can enter and showcase the culture of Los Pocitos to the world," he noted.
The Cuban also spoke about declaring Marianao "free from communism" and assured that his goal would be to promote economic prosperity in the neighborhood.
During the message, he emphasized his desire to improve public spaces, repair housing, and promote activities that allow residents to engage in economic development in the area.
Los Pocitos is a popular neighborhood located in the Havana municipality of Marianao, known for its strong community identity within the Cuban capital.
This "character" recently went viral with a video in which he boasts about his luxurious life in Miami, claiming that he is the wealthiest among all those who came out of certain marginalized neighborhoods in Cuba.
In another of his videos, the man appears showing from the beach where his seafront apartment in Miami Beach is located, and clarifies that he is not looking to boast unnecessarily, but rather “to put Los Pocitos on the map of the world.”
