The Cuban content creator Monika Salinas, known on TikTok as @monicamultiservicios, has sparked a wide debate among migrants after posting a video aimed at Cubans in the United States who are considering leaving the country due to fears of immigration pressure.

In the message directed especially at those with the I-220A form, Salinas explains that he has spoken with several people who are considering voluntarily returning to Cuba or to other countries such as Uruguay or Spain. His position is clear: before making such a significant decision, he believes it's worth taking a moment to reflect calmly.

"I’m not going to tell you what to do with your life, but I’ve taken it upon myself to convince several people not to leave the United States," she explains in the video. According to her, many people are reacting out of fear without considering all the options that may still exist.

The TikToker poses a direct question to those contemplating leaving: "If you haven't been caught and are normally living your life here in the United States, what necessity do you have to leave now?" In her view, leaving voluntarily may mean giving up opportunities that could still arise.

Also questions the idea of starting over in another country without legal status. "What need do you have to spend your three pesos to be illegal in another country where they don't charge in dollars?", he comments. For Salinas, although the immigration situation can be complicated, economic opportunities remain greater in the United States.

Regarding the possibility of returning to Cuba, his opinion is even more emphatic. He explains that the country has changed drastically in recent years and the economic reality is very difficult. “Cuba is no longer even an option... it is unrecognizable,” he says in the video.

The post has sparked many reactions among users. Some support its stance and claim they prefer to stay in the United States for as long as possible, while others remind us that each migrant faces different circumstances. In any case, the video has opened a conversation that reflects the uncertainty that thousands of Cubans with pending immigration processes are facing today.
