The uncertainty continues to characterize the case of the Cuban activist Anna Sofía Benítez Silvente, known as Anna Bensi, after it was confirmed on Tuesday that the police summons for her mother, Cary Silvente, has been postponed amid hours of silence and concern.

According to activist David Siloetano, the family finally managed to establish contact after nearly 24 hours without news. "Anna Sofía's sister just got in touch with them. They've rescheduled the appointment for tomorrow," he indicated on social media, partially easing the distress caused by the complete lack of communication.

During that period, neither family nor close friends knew the whereabouts of mother and daughter. The activist's sister, Ghelmis Rivero, expressed her desperation in messages claiming she had tried to reach out "through every possible means" without success, fearing for their safety.

The silence was not coincidental. According to reports shared on social media, both remained isolated prior to the police summons that was scheduled for this Tuesday, which raised alarms among relatives and activists.

What happened is not an isolated incident. Just last week, Anna Bensi and her mother reported being left without internet access for several hours, right after Cary Silvente was interrogated by State Security. At that time, both managed to restore their connection simultaneously, following an episode that was also interpreted as a form of pressure.

The current citation is part of a series of actions that, as the content creator herself has reported, seek to intimidate her family. Days ago, Silvente was subjected to a two-hour interrogation and warned that she needed to return accompanied by a lawyer.

Now, with the new date set for tomorrow, tension remains about what may happen, in a context where isolation and harassment are repeating as a pattern.

Meanwhile, family members and supporters remain vigilant, caught between the momentary relief of reestablished contact and the concern for what lies ahead.
