A group of Cubans in Tenerife has started to organize a protest in favor of freedom in Cuba, as shown in images circulated on social media that have sparked a wide reaction among the Cuban community both inside and outside of Spain.

In a video posted on Instagram by the account roberlan_farína, one of the participants explained that the initial meeting aimed to gather a small group of people to coordinate ideas, but attendance exceeded expectations.

"People, we are organized today as a group of Cubans here in Tenerife. We had planned for five or six people to gather and brainstorm some ideas, and look at how many people have come. This speaks volumes about the desire for a free Cuba," he expressed.

During the recording, the attendees chanted slogans such as "Long live free Cuba!", "Down with the Castros", "Homeland and life", and "Freedom", while waving a Cuban flag in a public space at night.

The same organizer indicated that they plan to make another call in the coming days with the goal of increasing participation: “We are forecasting the next one, which we will hold very soon, in the next few days, so that this message is shared especially in Tenerife, so that more people can join.”

According to what was explained, the intention is to bring visibility to the situation facing the island: “we want to stage a protest to highlight the problem in Cuba because freedom is this year.”

The video also conveys a call for unity among Cubans both inside and outside the country: “and if Cuba is in the street, so are we.”

The publication has generated dozens of comments on social media, where messages of support and interest in joining future actions prevail. Several users requested information about the date, time, and location of the next call, while others expressed slogans such as "Long live a free Cuba" and "Homeland and Life."

There were also calls to expand this type of initiative to other cities in Spain, such as Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, reflecting a growing interest among the Cuban diaspora to organize and make their demands more visible.

Among the reactions, some users emphasized the need for prior coordination to achieve greater attendance, while others insisted on the importance of maintaining civic pressure from abroad.

The video and its impact highlight a moment of mobilization among Cubans abroad, particularly in Spain, where small groups are beginning to coordinate actions aimed at amplifying the demand for political change on the island.
