The acting president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, will virtually participate this Wednesday in an economic forum taking place in Miami, which will also feature prominent international leaders.

According to information from the agency EFE, Rodríguez will participate in the event FII Priority in Miami Beach through a remote intervention as part of the agenda that extends until Friday.

The meeting will bring together more than 1,000 business leaders, investors, and figures from the political and technological spheres, with a special emphasis on artificial intelligence and global investments.

Among the participants are the president of the Inter-American Development Bank, Ilan Goldfajn, as well as high-level executives and public policy officials.

The forum will conclude on Friday with the participation of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, who will close the event.

Rodríguez's intervention occurs amid the new political landscape in Venezuela following the capture of Nicolás Maduro in January, during a U.S. military operation that marked the beginning of a transition phase in the country.

Rodríguez recently announced that a Venezuelan diplomatic delegation would travel to Washington to formalize the beginning of a new stage in bilateral relations with the United States.

The announcement was made during a meeting with investors broadcasted by the state channel Venezolana de Televisión.

"This week, the delegation of diplomats that will initiate this new phase of diplomatic and political relations and dialogue between our Governments will be departing for Washington," declared Rodríguez.

Similarly, the administration of President Donald Trump eased sanctions against Venezuela on Tuesday to facilitate the reopening of its embassy in the United States, marking a new step towards the full restoration of diplomatic relations.

The Treasury Department issued a license that partially lifts restrictions on Venezuelan government missions in U.S. territory and before international organizations.
