The President of the United States, Donald Trump, assured that “there will be no nuclear weapons” in Iran and stated that the country has accepted this condition as part of the ongoing negotiations.

"No nuclear weapons will be present. Iran has given its consent," Trump stated in a message disseminated by the State Department on social media X.

The president emphasized that this is the central point of the discussions. "It starts with not having nuclear weapons, and they have accepted that. There will be no nuclear weapons. They are not going to have enrichment or any of that," he stated.

Trump also noted that the United States is in a favorable position in the process. “We are in a very good negotiating position. We are far ahead of schedule and they have no navy, no air force, and no missile defense. We have eliminated most of their launches,” he said.

In that context, he expressed that he would prefer to avoid a further escalation of the conflict. "If we can end this without more loss of life, I would like to be able to do so," he added.

On the other hand, the president assured that the conflict has already been decided in favor of the United States. “We have won this war. The only ones wanting to prolong it are the fake news media,” he stated in another message shared by the Department of State.

“It is not a closed battle. They have no navy, they have no air force, they have nothing,” he insisted, while criticizing media outlets such as The New York Times, ABC, and NBC for their coverage.

Moreover, Trump indicated that Iran has shown signs of moving towards an agreement. “They are going to make a deal. They gave us a very significant gift related to oil and gas,” he said in other statements also shared by the State Department.

According to his explanation, that gesture influenced his perception of Iranian leadership. "That showed me we are dealing with the right people," he noted.

However, he made it clear that he has reservations. "Do you think I trust them? I do not trust them," he stated.

The president also referred to changes in the power structure in Iran. “The leadership has been eliminated. Khamenei is no longer here. The former supreme leader,” he said.

The statements come amid a negotiation process that, according to Washington, is progressing to the advantage of the United States.
