The exiled and former political prisoner from Cuba, José Daniel Ferrer live-streamed this Sunday from West Palm Beach, Florida, a demonstration of Cuban-Americans who gathered along the route that President Donald Trump takes from his residence in Mar-a-Lago to the local airport as he was returning to Washington.
The protesters, holding Cuban and American flags, repeatedly shouted "Cuba Next", "Long live Donald Trump" and "We win" as the presidential convoy passed in front of them, in a simultaneous display of gratitude and pressure for the Trump administration to prioritize the liberation of Cuba.
"We have the Cuban patriots here shouting Cuba Next, Cuba Next", Ferrer described with visible emotion during the broadcast, where the presence of agents from the Secret Service and the Palm Beach County police was also observed.
Ferrer explicitly thanked the president and his team.
The leader of the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU) was emphatic in drawing a line between those who support and those who criticize the president.
"Cubans who are complicit with tyranny hate Donald Trump. Cubans who love freedom love, support, and are grateful to Donald Trump. He is a great friend of the Cuban people," he asserted.
Ferrer also warned that "a Cuban who slanders the President of the United States, Donald Trump, is more miserable than the Castros and Canel combined."
The demonstration comes just days after Trump publicly declared last Friday, "Cuba is next, but act like I didn't say that", and after Secretary of State Marco Rubio conditioned any agreement with Havana on a complete change of the Cuban government system.
Ferrer, who was forcibly exiled to Miami on October 13, 2025 after decades of imprisonment in Cuba, announced that the protesters gather every Sunday at that location in West Palm Beach and expressed confidence that the fall of the regime is imminent.
"We will soon be celebrating throughout the community," he stated.
"Long live Free Cuba, long live the peaceful opposition, freedom for political prisoners, and long live Donald Trump!" Ferrer concluded his broadcast from West Palm Beach.
Last Tuesday, the Free Cuba Rally at Milander Park in Hialeah brought together hundreds of Cuban Americans with the same cry, featuring Ferrer, Rosa María Payá, Senator Ileana García, and artists like Yotuel Romero and Gente de Zona.
