Farruko is back in the spotlight after reappearing on one of the largest stages in electronic music: the Ultra festival in Miami. The artist joined Steve Aoki, and to the surprise of many, “Pepas” played… with him present.

The moment did not go unnoticed. A few years ago, Farruko himself had declared that he would not perform that song again, following his spiritual shift and his closer relationship with the Christian faith, even going so far as to apologize for the message of some of his songs.

However, on this occasion the hit resonated once again before a crowd, while the singer enjoyed the show from the stage, in what many interpreted as a return—if only symbolic—to a phase he had publicly questioned.

The video quickly went viral and, as expected, social media became polarized.

On one hand, there were those who celebrated the moment and the collaboration with Steve Aoki: “The machines joined together,” “DJ Farru,” “You killed it,” “Another level,” commented some users.

But on the other hand, there were no shortages of criticism, especially from followers who recalled his past statements: “You said you weren't going to sing that song,” “There's no consistency,” “I'm disappointed in you,” “What happened to that?” were some of the most repeated messages.

There were also harsher comments from a religious perspective, questioning his consistency: “You don’t play with God,” “You’re lukewarm,” “Return to your first love,” several users wrote to him, highlighting the clash between his spiritual discourse and this type of behavior.

Nevertheless, others chose a more moderate stance, reminding us that "no one has the right to judge" and that only the artist knows the process they are going through.
