The reunion marks the conclusion of a story that Titi herself had been publicly documenting since December 2025, when she announced her decision to leave the United States and return permanently to the island. As she explained at the time, she had requested her voluntary departure from the country, a process colloquially known as "self-deportation."
"I came here to get ahead with my daughter, but I didn't succeed," she confessed at that moment, explaining that the distance and the time spent apart ended up weighing more than her economic aspirations.
In previous posts, the young woman had recounted the difficulties she faced during her time in the U.S., as well as the emotional impact of being away from her daughter, who was about ten years old when they began to be separated.
