Violence and insecurity in Cuba claimed another victim early Wednesday morning in the city of Cienfuegos, where Adonis Fuentes González, 35 years old, died after being attacked with bladed weapons, according to a source connected to the Ministry of the Interior (Minint).
The young man was attacked around one in the morning on this April 15, when he was about to park his electric tricycle to charge it after finishing his nighttime activities, confirmed the Facebook profile "Las Cosas de Fernanda". The incident occurred near the Traffic Unit, beside the Juan Olay high school.
According to the publication, several individuals attacked Fuentes González with bladed weapons, inflicting serious wounds that led to his death. Subsequently, they stole the battery and the charger from the vehicle.
The profile did not provide information about the identity of the attackers or whether they have been apprehended.
The news has generated shock and alarm among residents in the area and the general population, who are concerned about the increase in violence associated with thefts in Cienfuegos.
