The Cuban content creator Flor de Cuba posted a video on Instagram showcasing her first house in the United States, a property valued at over a million dollars in Miami that closed on Monday, April 20.
The video, lasting less than two minutes, starts with Flor accompanied by her real estate agent in front of the entrance door, confetti in hand, ready to cross the threshold for the first time as the official owner.
Amid laughter and visible excitement, Flor tries to open the door while the confetti keeps pouring out, and she finally steps into the home amid applause and cheers of celebration. Throughout the video, various rooms of the house can be seen. An incredible, spacious, and modern property, complete with a pool.
In her Instagram stories, the influencer couldn't hold back tears as she recalled where she came from: "Who would have told that little girl from Centro Habana, from the propped-up building, with urine dripping down, that she would be in Miami closing on the purchase of her first house?"
When finalizing the purchase, she wrote on Instagram: "Our first home in the United States. I can't believe this is real, someone wake me up. Today April 20, 2026 we achieved something we never imagined."
Flor Danay Hernández arrived in the United States in June 2024 with just 200 dollars, without papers and without a credit history.
His first months were tough: he traveled by bus, slept on mattresses on the floor, and lived at his aunt's house while trying to find a way to get ahead.
She opted for TikTok Shop as an affiliate seller and, in less than two years, became one of the most successful creators on the platform worldwide, ranking in the top 1% of sellers with the highest global earnings.
In six months, it generated approximately 10 million dollars in gross merchandise value, with estimated personal profits of around 150,000 dollars for every million generated.
Just three days before the closing of the house, last Friday, she received the Revelation Creator of the Year award at the TikTok Shop Summit, where she stated: "I won! I still can't believe it."
The property in Miami is more than just a home: Flor plans to turn it into her production studio, permanent recording set, and space for courses and events with brands. All of this, moreover, comes along with a baby on the way, whose pregnancy was announced on April 14.
This is not the creator's first significant acquisition: she previously purchased a three-bedroom townhouse with a pool in Punta Cana and also bought a house for her mother in Cuba.
"The purchase of this property for me is not for its real estate value, but because this house will become the stage for my story."
Congratulations!
