The Cuban comedian José Carlos Pérez "Carlucho" candidly revealed his true secret with women during an interview with journalist Tania Costa from CiberCuba: it’s neither about physical appearance nor intimacy performance, but about humor.

In response to the question of whether it's true that he has "a little something for the ladies," Carlucho replied in his unmistakable style: "Well, it must be because I attract the ants, right?" Far from boasting, the comedian defined himself as "a very fortunate man" who has been loved by women who, as he humbly admits, "weren't meant for him."

"I have been fortunate that women who are not meant for me, who have not been with me, have loved me. So that is a great blessing," he declared.

Carlucho remembered that in his younger years, he would wake up next to someone and wonder in astonishment, "Why is this happening? You know, it scared me."

The most striking moment came when the comedian explained his formula with total honesty: "I don’t have blue eyes or the body of Brad Pitt, but I have a way with words that I believe convinces them."

And he went further with a comedic confession that drew laughter: "They haven't felt as much pleasure but they have laughed so much. Because when it comes to sex, I'm not that great of a lover. But when I take off my clothes, the laughter kills them."

"I don't do anything else but take off my clothes, and they see the vitiligo I have on the left and the cellulite on the right, and they laugh and fall asleep," she added, using her own body as comedic material, something that has characterized her autobiographical style for decades.

To illustrate the contrast, Carlucho referenced William Levy, the Cuban actor known worldwide for his sculpted physique: "It's not that I've had to be a William Levy. I haven't had to be a William Levy. I have been Carlucho, but I have been very fortunate, seriously."

Carlucho, who responded to the controversy with host Carlos Otero in this same interview, also reflected on his self-belief despite setbacks: "I have always believed. Someone may not like that I say this, but I have complete faith in myself." He summed up his life journey with a phrase: "When I haven't fallen, I've thrown myself down. And I'm back."

When the journalist asked him if the comedian and the man are the same person, Carlucho left the answer to the audience: "Don't ask questions that the audience has already answered. You have talked to the man. In all his facets."

The comedian, who has been living in Madrid for about a year and a half, will perform on May 3 at the Teatro Las Vegas alongside Robertico in the show "El Reencuentro," the first joint performance of Los Bufomaníacos in over 25 years.

"In the time I’ve had, I believe I have been able to offset it with a lot of humor," concluded Carlucho, staying true to the philosophy that, in his view, has worked for him his entire life.
