The Cuban comedian and communicator José Carlos Pérez «Carlucho» published a lengthy and forceful message on Instagram this Monday in response to the recent statements made by Carlos Otero.
Carlucho makes harsh accusations against Otero and threatens to disclose documents that, according to him, would prove the famous presenter’s ties to the Cuban regime.
"Pipo... my child... don’t run now, don’t run... if you have spent all this time deceiving this community, now don’t run," the message begins, published on the same day that Carlos Otero admitted to signing a document from the Cuban State Security committing to report on plans against Fidel Castro's life.
Among the most serious accusations, Carlucho claims to have the document of the urban reform that would prove how the State Council gave Otero a house in Miramar.
"I have the document of the urban reform that states exactly how the State Council gave you the house in Miramar, and I am going to publish it," he wrote.
He also claims to have documents regarding a Lada car that Otero would have left to his son in Cuba, who, according to Carlucho, never received any remittance from his father.
In addition, she claimed to have statements from accountants where Otero supposedly requested to list his mother as a dependent in order to pay less taxes, a request that his sister is said to have denied.
The most explosive element that Carlucho claims to have in his possession is a photograph that Otero allegedly said he burned, in which he is seen wearing a four-star cap.
"You're out wearing a cap with four stars, those four stars are only worn by the murderer, dictator Raúl Castro, and you put it on. If that's false, prove me wrong and I'll post it unedited," Carlucho challenged.
The comedian threatened to sell that image to channels 23 and 51, and give it as a gift to the host Alexander Otaola, with whom Otero allegedly has professional ties.
Carlucho recalled that he was the one who helped the host come to the United States and, in that regard, he left him a clear message: "You saw how I brought you here, now I want to show you how I can take you out."
The controversy between Carlucho and Carlos Otero reignited in April 2026, when Otero stated in a podcast that he "would not work with Carlucho again" and emphasized that their friendship was over.
Carlucho then calmly responded in an interview with CiberCuba, where he confessed that he enjoys being hated, in an attitude that foreshadows the escalation this Monday.
The rivalry between the two has its roots in their collaboration at América TeVé, the Hispanic channel in Miami, where Carlos Otero hosted the show TN3 for 15 years until his dismissal in May 2022.
In December 2019, Carlucho had lashed out at Otero with a phrase that resonates even more strongly today: “The mistake was mine for bringing him here, but I am going to correct it. If I brought him, I will send him back.”
This Monday, he reaffirmed that stance. "Otero, if you knew what I have, you wouldn't have dared to speak about me. It's not the same to mention the devil as to see him coming (...) I had already forgiven you," Carlucho concluded his message, leaving open the possibility of publishing all the documents he claims to possess.
