Cuban actress Danay Cruz has once again made her followers laugh with a new sketch featuring her character Lola Mento Guasimita, this time announcing her pregnancy to her French in-laws, who were so shocked that the mother-in-law almost fainted.

In the reel posted on her Instagram account, Danay appears as Lola arriving at the home of her partner Maxime's parents in France, and she reveals the news with the boldness and customary humor that characterize the character. "So that my French in-laws don't say later that one arrives in France empty-handed," the actress wrote in the video description.

The sketch is filled with references to Cuban reality: in the transcript, the in-laws mention the ration booklet while Losa asserts that "it’s no longer useful, it’s just for show" and jokes that his partner "came from Cuba traumatized" and arrived carrying a sack of coal.

This video is the third in a series of family pregnancy announcements that Danay has been sharing on social media over the past few days.

The first one arrived on July 25, when the actress publicly announced that she is expecting her first baby in an emotional reel filmed in Paris with the Eiffel Tower in the background, where Maxime held the ultrasound while she showcased some knitted baby shoes. “Our greatest joy and blessing is on its way. Thank you God for this immense gift,” she wrote on that occasion.

Two days later, she shared her mother's reaction upon learning that she would be a grandmother, as a birthday gift for her.

Now it is the French in-laws who join the chain of surprises, featuring the unmistakable mark of Lola Mento Guasimita: absurd humor, sardonic criticism of scarcity in Cuba, and everyday situations taken to the extreme.

The good news arrives a few months after Maxime proposed marriage to her in December 2025, on a restaurant boat on the Seine River with the illuminated Eiffel Tower in the background, a commitment that Danay confirmed with a resounding “I said yes!”.

The baby's sex has not been confirmed by the actress, although among her followers' comments, there are those who are already betting on "a Lolita" and others who congratulate "Lola and Fransua" — the Cubanized version of the nickname the character uses for her partner in the sketches.
