Three weeks after the final of Miss Universe Cuba 2026, Daniela Reyes returned to social media with a message that leaves no doubt about her state of mind: faith, determination, and a lot of stubbornness.
The Cuban model and influencer posted a reel on her Instagram account where she is seen posing on a beach, while the text over the image reads: "You can't" / "Yes, I can. / I believe in God and I am stubborn."
The caption accompanying the video is priceless: “I believe that at every stage of my life, I have always been clear about the woman I want to become, and perhaps that has been the key to moving forward... When you know who you want to be, each step, even the hardest one, brings you closer to that vision of yourself. With faith, determination, and unwavering belief.” In less than 24 hours, the post was nearing 9,000 likes and had gathered 194 comments.
The post comes after an intense August for Daniela. The final of the competition left the crown in the hands of Mia Dio, representative of Isla de la Juventud, despite Daniela being one of the public's top favorites.
Her immediate reaction was as Daniela as always: she posed in her gala dress with a slice of pizza with the caption: "I think I deserve it...", an image that garnered over 26,900 likes.
Days later, she broke her silence more comprehensively in a black and white story where she acknowledged that "there were those, from the very beginning, who did everything possible to prevent me from achieving my goal," although she did not point a finger at anyone. That same story concluded with a phrase that resonated: "CUBA, thank you for making me feel like a QUEEN without the need for a crown."
Now, with this new reel, her followers feel that Daniela has turned the page with her head held high, and the comments reflect this sentiment.
"You're a queen," wrote a follower in the most responded-to comment on the post, with 47 replies. Another user went further: "I can testify that you can handle anything, your discipline and perseverance are on another level." There were also those who connected the message directly to the competition: "Maybe it wasn't your time this time, but you are the Miss Cuba we dreamed of," noted another fan. Messages celebrating her Cuban roots were also abundant. "You represent me as a Cuban woman because you were born in Cuba, fought to get here, and continue to fulfill dreams," a follower wrote to her. Another summed up the general sentiment in just a few words: "You will always shine, you will always be our queen."
Mia Dio, for her part, will represent Cuba in Miss Universe 2026, which will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in November. With her attitude and beauty, she is ready to succeed.
