The Cuban actress Yuliet Cruz wasted no time expressing her pride: as soon as the nominees for the 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards were announced, she posted an emotional message on Instagram to celebrate that her husband, Leoni Torres, is among the candidates for Best Traditional Tropical Album with his album Cualquiera Se Enamora.
"Congratulations my love on this well-deserved nomination for the @latingrammys. BEST TRADITIONAL TROPICAL ALBUM ANYONE FALLS IN LOVE. Enjoy it to the fullest, and may joy continue to come into your life. Proud of you and how you defend our rich and beautiful Cuban music. Congratulations to all the nominees. For you, my love," Cruz wrote in her Instagram post, accompanied by several photographs from a concert of Torres and a graphic image of the Latin Academy featuring the category seal.
The message combines the affection of a couple with recognition of the singer's artistic work as an ambassador of Cuban music, and it encapsulates in a few lines what many fans of the couple already know: behind the artist is a partner who celebrates him with the same intensity that he sings.
The couple has been together for almost twenty years and has two children together, Sebastián and Samuel.
Anyone Can Fall in Love is the tenth studio album by Leoni Torres, released in March 2026 under his own label, Torres Productions.
The album features 10 songs with collaborations from artists such as Descemer Bueno, Gema Corredera, Randy Malcom, and Pedrito Martínez.
In the category Best Traditional Tropical Album, Torres competes with prominent names: Dayhan Díaz (Something New from Yesterday), Los Tri-O (Organic), Omara Portuondo (Eternally Omara), and Gilberto Santa Rosa (Intimate (Live)).
This is not the first time the singer has reached this stage: this is his third nomination in the same category, after competing in 2021 with Alma Cubana and in 2022 with Canten – Homage to Polo Montañez.
On that first occasion, the award went to Alain Pérez, Isaac Delgado, and the Orquesta Aragón; on the second, it was won by Aymée Nuviola and Gonzalo Rubalcaba.
The 2026 Latin Grammy ceremony is scheduled for November 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, where it will be revealed if this time luck will be on Leoni Torres' side.
