The Latin music festival has its stars: the Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences announced this Wednesday the nominations for the 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards, and this year the competition is particularly fierce, with several big names from Ibero-American music accumulating nominations.
Among those with the most presence on the list are Edgar Barrera, Karol G, Rosalía, Jorge Drexler, and CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, all with seven nominations.
Barrera, the Mexican-American composer and producer behind numerous hits in Latin music, is once again taking center stage. He is nominated for Songwriter of the Year and Producer of the Year, and is also competing as a songwriter in the Song of the Year category for "Coleccionando Heridas," by Karol G and Marco Antonio Solís, and "Mi Gran Amor," by Santana featuring Becky G. Additionally, he has three nominations in the Best Mexican Regional Song category for "Ese Hombre Es Malo," "No Capea," and "Ojitos Bellos."
Karol G has also received seven nominations. The Colombian artist is competing for Album of the Year and Best Urban Album with Tropicoqueta, while "Coleccionando Heridas," featuring Marco Antonio Solís, is nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Additionally, she is nominated for Best Urban Performance for "Dile Luna," alongside Eddy Lover; Best Reggaeton Performance for "Verano Rosa," with Feid; and Best Mexican Regional Song for "Ese Hombre Es Malo."
The singer arrives at this edition with the momentum of Tropicoqueta, the album that topped the charts after its release in June 2025, debuting at number three on the Billboard 200 and reaching number one on the Top Latin Albums.
Rosalía also stands out with seven additional nominations. LUX (Complete Works) is competing for Album of the Year and Best Alternative Music Album, while "La Perla," alongside Yahritza and Su Esencia, is featured in Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Song. The Spanish artist is also among the nominees for Best Song in Portuguese for "Memória," alongside Carminho, and for Best Short Form Music Video for "Sauvignon Blanc."
The Uruguayan Jorge Drexler also achieves seven nominations, with presence in categories such as Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Alternative Song, Best Singer-Songwriter Album, Best Singer-Songwriter Song, and Best Roots Song.
The Argentine duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso rounds out the list of names with seven nominations, including a presence in Record of the Year for "Ha Ha" and Album of the Year for FREE SPIRITS, as well as competing in categories for alternative music, pop/rock, electronic, and music video.
The night of November 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas promises to bring together many of the names that have made an impact on Latin music over the past year.

Cuba will also have a significant representation in this edition. Dayhan Díaz, Omara Portuondo, and Leoni Torres are competing for Best Traditional Tropical Album, while Alex Cuba is nominated for Best Contemporary Tropical Album and Yeisy Rojas for Best Tropical Song.
Gonzalo Rubalcaba received two nominations for Gonzalo Plays Pino and A Tribute To Benny Moré And Nat King Cole, a project that also features Cuban saxophonist Yainer Horta. Meanwhile, Tania León is competing for Best Classical Work/Composition with Raíces (Origins) - Live.
Out of competition, Francisco "Pancho" Céspedes will receive the 2026 Music Excellence Award, an acknowledgment from the Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences for his career.
