The moment was shared on X by the account Rapid Response 47, associated with the White House communications, in a video accompanied by the music of “Y.M.C.A.” by the Village People, while the president engaged in his usual arm movements with clenched fists in front of the audience.
In the images, Trump is seen wearing a dark suit and a red tie, gesturing with his arms in front of the attendees, several of whom remain standing and recording the moment with their mobile phones.
The event this Monday took place at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, Ohio, as part of the Republican efforts to mobilize their voters ahead of the midterm elections on November 3.
According to the official call of the Republican Party, the event was scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m., while the president's speech was expected at 7:00 p.m. local time.
During his speech, Trump defended the economic results of his administration and stated that the United States is experiencing record numbers in employment and income, as well as new historical highs in the stock market.
In statements released by Rapid Response 47, the president affirmed that Ohio's steel industry is recovering, that manufacturing is experiencing a period of growth, and that U.S. exports have reached record levels.
The president also endorsed Republican Senator Jon Husted, who is seeking to retain his seat against former Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown, and the Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.
Trump's dance to the tune of "Y.M.C.A.", by Village People, has become one of his most recognizable signatures during political events.
Since his 2020 presidential campaign, the president has used the song to accompany his signature arm, shoulder, and clenched fist movements.
Last January, a video of him dancing during a visit to the Economic Club of Detroit went viral, after the White House networks shared the footage.
The popularity of these movements has transcended Republican rallies. In July, Belgian soccer players imitated the famous "Trump dance" during a celebration at the 2026 World Cup.
