The Cuban influencer Milenita (Milena Sánchez Rodríguez) addressed the criticism she received after announcing the purchase of her first home in the United States, and she did so in her own way: singing in a mocking tone and with a direct message to those who question whether the property actually belongs to her.
The trigger was a comment left by a user under the purchase announcement: "It's not yours yet, it's the bank's." Milenita quickly responded with a reel on Instagram in which she started singing, dedicating the improvisation to the user she called "Caruca."
"I see a lot of people worried about whether the house is mine or the bank's. Regardless of whose it is, I was the one who bought it, and that makes me the owner; I am the one in the documents," she wrote in the video's description.
The influencer, originally from Matanzas and residing in Miami since 2025, took the opportunity to deliver a broader message to the Cuban community: "We Cubans primarily need to learn to accept and celebrate the victories of others, and our own will follow."
The purchase of the home alongside her partner, El Puti, was announced on October 12 with photographs of the closing of the deal, the keys, and a celebration with cake.
Days later, Milenita published a video tour of the house's interior: several rooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, hardwood floors in the bedrooms, a chandelier, washing machine, and dryer. The home was still in the process of being furnished. She revealed that one of the rooms will be converted into a professional studio for recording videos and doing live broadcasts.
Responding to her detractors with irony and without filters is a constant in her public persona: she has already done so in the face of criticism regarding her makeup, her medical studies, her advertising rates, and parodies of other content creators.
