The Cuban presenter and comedian Aly Sánchez dedicated an emotional message on Instagram to her eldest daughter, Sophia Balmaseda, on the occasion of her 15th birthday. The congratulations were accompanied by stunning photographs of the quinceañera wearing an elegant pale yellow gown and a silver tiara in front of the pyramid of the Louvre Museum in Paris.
In her post, Aly confessed that she had so many emotions that she preferred to express them in writing, knowing she wouldn't be able to hold back her tears if she tried to tell her daughter all of that face to face.
"Today my girl turns 15... And I have so many things to tell her that I don't even know where to start. Since she doesn't like to see me cry, I'm going to try to put into words everything I feel, because if I attempt to say it while looking her in the eyes, I can't even get to the second sentence," wrote the artist.
Her words were filled with love, pride, and good wishes for this new chapter in Sophia's life. Beyond the successes she may achieve, the comedian made it clear that what she desires most for her daughter is to see her happy.
"My daughter, if you only knew how many times we have prayed for you... And not precisely for you to be the best at everything, or to have a perfect life, or to never make mistakes. We have prayed for your peace, for your heart, for your happiness," she expressed.
One of the most moving moments of the dedication came when Aly asked her daughter to enjoy each stage of her life without rushing to grow up.
"If I could give you something to accompany you throughout your life, it would be to enjoy your life, my daughter. Don’t be in such a hurry to grow up. Laugh a lot, do beautiful crazy things, dream big, and never stop enjoying the small things," he advised.
The host also reflected on the passage of time and the moment when children begin to make their own decisions, assuring Sophia that no matter what happens, she will always be able to count on the unconditional love and support of her family.
"No matter how many years you celebrate, how many times you make mistakes, or how far life takes you, you will always have a safe place to return to in us," he promised.
This birthday has a special significance for the family, after Sophia went through a delicate health issue. In July 2026, the teenager underwent major spine surgery at Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami, from which she gradually recovered.
Months earlier, in June, Sophia had filled her parents with pride by graduating with various academic and artistic honors, including distinctions in science, music, and singing, as well as her participation in student and sports activities.
The young woman has also shown talent in music. In April 2025, she moved her mother to tears by performing in French "Dernière Danse" by Indila, during an audition that Aly followed via video call.
The bond between mother and daughter has also led to funny moments on social media. Last May, when Aly hinted that she would sing during Sophia's quinceañera celebration, the teenager reacted with embarrassment, spontaneously saying "Mooooom, that's not for posting!", making her followers laugh.
To conclude her congratulations, Aly shared a reflection on motherhood and what it means to see a daughter grow up, leaving one of the most beautiful phrases of her entire dedication.
"Happy 15th birthday, my girl. Thank you for these fifteen years teaching me that the greatest love is not the one that binds you to someone, but the one that prepares you to see them soar. I love you with all that I am. And now... I’m definitely going to cry, even if you don’t let me."
