This is how the new viral track by Daddy Yankee and Diljit Dosanjh sounds: Are you daring enough to dance to it?

Daddy Yankee and Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh have joined their musical worlds in "POKITO," a track that has already amassed over 34 million views on YouTube since its release on October 30, making the fusion of reggaeton and bhangra one of the sound phenomena of the year.

The song is part of "La Postal," the new album by Daddy Yankee released that same day under his label DY Records, a 15-track record that also features collaborations with Myke Towers, Cardi B, Bizarrap, and Danny Ocean, among others.

The chorus "poquito a poquito" —which gives the song its name— serves as a thread connecting the two languages: Diljit delivers his verses in Punjabi while Daddy Yankee responds in Spanish with clearly autobiographical references.

"Bro, in this life, nothing has come for free / At seventeen, they turned on the automatic / Then I turned reggaeton into worldwide and classic / Half a century has passed, and we’re still here," raps the Puerto Rican in one of the most celebrated verses of the track.

The official music video, directed by Stillz, alternates between scenes of a brightly lit baseball stadium and a convenience store, showcasing Diljit in a turban and traditional Sikh attire against Daddy Yankee in sports jerseys and dark glasses: two aesthetics that clash yet complement each other at the same time.

The choreography was by Balwinder Singh Dhillon, introduced on Instagram by the account @downtownbhangra as "the choreographer of the global collaboration of the decade."

The song took off rapidly: it surpassed 10 million streams in its first days, reached 16 million by November 2, and nearly hit 23 million just four days after its release.

The closing of the music video says it all in two words: "India / PR," a visual synthesis of a cultural bridge between the Asian subcontinent and Puerto Rico that few would have imagined just a few years ago.

The release comes at a time of full artistic revival for Daddy Yankee. After announcing his retirement from secular music in March 2022 and completing the farewell tour "La Última Vuelta World Tour" — 83 concerts, more than 1.9 million attendees and 205 million dollars raised — the artist gradually returned with the Christian-themed album "Lamento en baile" in October 2025. "La Postal" marks his full return to the urban scene.

Diljit Dosanjh, for his part, came to this collaboration with a track record of international milestones: in April 2023, he became the first artist to perform at the Coachella festival singing entirely in Punjabi, and his 2024 tour "Dil-Luminati" established him as the most globally prominent Punjabi figure of his generation.
