The Cuban singer Eduardo Antonio, known as the Divo of Cuba, had an emotional moment with reggaeton artist Dany Ome during the Icon Miami Awards 2026, where he dedicated some heartfelt words filled with affection and admiration, and surprised everyone by announcing that he plans to record a song with him.
The meeting took place during the ceremony held on Wednesday in Miami and was captured in a video shared by Eduardo Antonio on his Instagram account, showcasing the camaraderie between both artists.
The Divo of Cuba expressed his joy at the success that Dany Ome has achieved within the urban genre and let him know how much he admires him. His words were characterized by affection, respect, and recognition of the talent of a younger generation of Cuban musicians.
But the surprise came when Eduardo Antonio announced his intention to record a song together with Dany Ome, who, for his part, recalled that he had previously told El Divo that both he and Kevincito El 13 always had their doors open to collaborate with him.
During the exchange, Eduardo Antonio proposed that the collaboration be a tribute to Chocolate MC, whom he referred to as "the king of the distribution." Dany Ome stated that he will always respect the reggaeton artist, regardless of any issues that may have arisen, because he was an inspiration for other performers in the genre. "He paved the way. Ranks are to be respected," Eduardo Antonio asserted.
The moment was filled with complicity and mutual admiration, with Eduardo Antonio not hesitating to publicly show his respect for Dany Ome and the success he has achieved both inside and outside of Cuba.
This is not the first time both artists have met publicly. In September 2025, they participated in a tribute to El Taiger held at the Flamingo Theater Bar in Miami, where several representatives of Cuban music came together to remember the late reggaeton artist.
Dany Ome, whose real name is Daniel Muro Pedraza, has established himself as one of the leading figures in Cuban reggaeton. Together with Kevincito El 13, he has collaborated with international artists such as Ozuna and Wisin. Furthermore, in late 2024, both revealed that they had signed a record deal with ONErpm valued at one million dollars.
For his part, Eduardo Antonio continues to receive accolades for his artistic career. Recently, he was awarded the Latin Excellence prize during the Hispanic Celebrities Awards 2026, held on October 28 in Miami.
Now, the announcement of a possible collaboration between the Divo de Cuba and Dany Ome opens the door to a musical union between two generations of Cuban artists, although details about the song and a potential release date have not yet been revealed.
