Note
These nuggets are one of those recipes that always win over everyone at home. They are super easy to make, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and bursting with the flavor of the marinade. The best part is that you can bake them or fry them, depending on what you feel like, and they are perfect for snacking with the family or pairing with your favorite sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 chicken breast
- 6 cups of corn flakes
- ½ cup of all-purpose wheat flour
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 lemon (its juice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Frying oil
Instructions
1. Prepare the chicken:
- Cut the chicken breast into nugget-sized pieces.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Crush the garlic cloves and spread them well over the pieces of chicken.
- Add the lemon juice, mix, and let it rest for 10 minutes to absorb the flavor.
2. Prepare the breading:
- Crush the cornflakes in a bag or cloth using a mortar or bottle.
- Beat the egg with a pinch of salt and add the marinade liquid (from the chicken with lemon and garlic) for extra flavor.
- Prepare three dishes: one with flour, another with beaten egg, and another with crushed flakes.
Breading
- Pass each piece of chicken first through the flour, then through the egg, and finally through the corn flakes, pressing down a little to ensure they stick well.
4. Cooking options
Baked:
- Preheat to 180 °C.
- Place the nuggets on a tray lined with baking paper.
- Bake for 20 minutes, turning them halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
Fritos:
- Heat the oil well.
- Introduce the nuggets into the hot oil to seal the coating.
- Once golden brown on the outside, lower the temperature a bit so that the chicken cooks through without burning on the outside.
- Remove onto absorbent paper.
- Serve them with your favorite sauce (BBQ, mustard, ketchup, etc.)
