The Cienfuegos players, in addition to the team director of that province, who attacked the referees who were participating in a Cuban National Baseball Series match, already know the sanctions determined by the Disciplinary Commission.

Last Sunday, April 28, in a game held at the 5 de Septiembre Stadium between Cienfuegos and Camagüey, violence by players against referees was unleashed by an apparent referee error.

The game, which had gone tied in extra innings, was decided in the tenth inning with a decisive play in the home plate, which unleashed violence in the stadium.

For those actions, the National Baseball Commission, in a press conference one day after the unfortunate events, said that those involved had been expelled.

Last Friday they announced the complete decisions on the sanctions against these players, which were determined as follows:

- Jorge Rodriguez (team manager): Ban from participating in seven games.

- Receptor Richel Lopez and the gardener Felix Rodriguez: ban from intervening in five games.

- Torpedo boat Luis Vicente Mateo and launchers Luis Serpa and Samuel Calderon: ban from participating in three games.

- Gardener Dany Orama: prohibition to intervene in a game.

However, despite these measures, The Cuban National Series is not going through its best moment. Out of the logistical problems in which the organization has been involved, especially for the fuel shortage in the country, also the behavior of managers, players and referees has given a lot to talk about.

The first of them was related to the presence on the field of play of a “false referee” in a match between Pinar del Río and Matanzas, physically attacked after a game where he allegedly made the mistake of calling an out wrong, in the ninth inning.

According to the institution, the referee was sanctioned with two games because he scored a controversial out to a Pinar del Río player in the ninth inning of a game in which they hosted Matanzas and which the visitors ended up winning on April 16.

The same referee appeared again at the Capitán San Luis stadium in Pinar del Río four days later for the penultimate match of that series, but was announced with a different name due to the local sound.

Recently, The Industriales team had a game confiscated for using an ineligible player.

In a match against Artemisa, the well-known Lions of the capital, lost for using a player, Ariel Hechavarría Calvo, who had been in reserve since April 17 and had not been discharged again.

Paradoxically, this player came up to bat and hit a home run.
