On Friday night, two Cubans joined forces with Round Rock Express, the Triple-A branch of the Houston Astros in the Minor Leagues. Right-handed pitcher Rogelio Armenteros and catcher Lorenzo Quintana made up the battery and the combination could not have been more perfect.

Armenteros pitched a gem of six innings with seven strikeouts and lowered his ERA to 5.08. Meanwhile, Quintana supported him with a pair of home runs, in only his 3rd match in Triple-A. The man from Pinar del Río drove in three and added his average to .385.

It cannot be said that Quintana is in the Astros' immediate plans, but he is already in the last link of the Minors, where he is closer to the MLB dream.

In total there were 29 Cubans, highlighted by Yadiel Hernández and Rangel Ravelo who marked the card with a hit and remained above .360 and .290 respectively.

In Double-A, Luis Robert, showed off his bat with two hits, now his average is .311.

In Advanced Class-A, Víctor Víctor Mesa and Lázaro Alonso left with multi-hits, Alonso from Pinar del Río maintains the promotion as does Julio Pablo Martínez with his 4th home run of 2019.

In medium Class-A, Miguel Vargas hit two hits and hit .324, while Henry Quintero, as the leadoff hitter, responded with three hits and now the man from Camaguey is hitting .349.
