The Cuban rulerMiguel Diaz-Canel expressed his rejection ofthe actions of Israeli troops in Gaza, which he described as “genocide” and unpunished murders.
“The genocide committed by the terrorist state of Israel in Gaza is a humiliation for all humanity. How long will there be impunity, how long will there be a free way to murder? Cuba, which will never be among the indifferent, raises its voice for Palestine again and again,” said the president.
His tweet was accompanied with a photograph of buildings destroyed by the Israeli bombings in Gaza, which is why hundreds of Cubans responded criticizing his double standards, manifest in his concern for the lives of Gazans and his indifference towardsthe destruction of his own country andthe growing misery among the population.
“The genocide committed by the terrorist state of Cuba against the Cuban people is a humiliation for all humanity. How long will impunity last? How long is the way clear to kill Cubans? Down with the communist dictatorship,” responded one user.
“I wish you would also raise your voice against your friend Putin's Russian crimes and bombings against the Ukrainian people. You showed your indifference when you refused to condemn Russia at the UN for its crimes and demand the departure of Russian troops from Ukraine. “Hypocrite,” Taoro pointed out.
“The genocide committed by the terrorist state of Los Castro and its puppet - that is, you, singao - in Cuba is a humiliation for all humanity. How long will there be impunity, how long will there be a free way to murder, imprison and exile? The free Cubans, who will never be among the indifferent, raise their voices for Cuba to one day be free again and again,” noted a third.
“It's not Gaza. It's not Ukraine. There are 64 years of communism. Cuba, misery town,” answered a Cuban woman with a photograph of one of the most recent landslides that occurred in Havana.
“The genocide committed by the terrorist state of Cuba is a humiliation for all humanity. How long will there be impunity, how long will there be a free way to murder? The exile, who will never be among the indifferent, raises its voice for Cuba again and again,” said one exile.
With the country he governs - under the design of dictator Raúl Castro - in ruins, Díaz-Canel decides to show his solidarity and empathy towards the Palestinian people while Cubans are going through the worst crisis in their history.
Hit by their terrible management of theeconomic crisis, overwhelmed by thehousing crisis, thelandslides, blackouts, precariousness, growing inequality, the injustices and abuses of a dictatorship, inflation, shortages of food and medicine, and with aexodus of more than a million Cubans In the last three years, they blamed the “hitman” for its lack of shame and the criminal behavior of its government.
