State security harasses the mother of a prisoner in Santiago de Cuba

“They wanted to take me to the sector so that I could testify, at that moment I refused because I really didn't know what I was accused of,” the woman explained in a video published by theCuban Observatory of Human Rights (OCDH) last Friday.

“Now two young people came, whom the DTI summoned to the Yarayó unit, letting the young people know that I, Eradis de la Rosa Ferrer, had paid them for them to throw stones.”at the demonstration", De la Rosa explained.

The woman, who is recovering from several fractures, stated that “there is constantly a young man from security, because I am sure he is from security, who comes every day to ask me questions and they are harassing me.”

In her complaint, De la Rosa said she feared for her life: “Yesterday I went to get my nails done and a short time later there was a patrol car behind me. I need to report this because I know that at any moment they are going to arrest me or kill me.”

The OCDH publication indicates that the woman is afraid that State Security will open a case against her.

His son is serving five years in prison for filming and posting on Facebook theClash between civilians and military in Santiago de Cuba when an eight-year-old girl was raped, in February 2020.

In 2023, the woman asked for Domínguez's freedom and also reported that during the time she has been imprisoned she has suffered all kinds of humiliation.
