Water has not arrived at the house of Joaquín, a 68-year-old retiree and resident of the Santa Fe neighborhood, in the Guanabacoa municipality, for more than 10 days, and when he decided to seek explanations, he received only justifications and apathy from the government.

A regime official in Havana told him thatthe dams were dry, so the man went to the Communist Party, the municipal delegate and other leaders in his area, from whom he received advice: "Don't go anywhere else," according to what he told the independent digital newspaper.14 intervene.

According to him, the only function of the "cadres" is to harass people who ask for explanations: "This is how they clean themselves."

And while evasions rained down, he described a degrading and outrageous panorama: elderly people carrying water, one pipe for the entire block, people drinking water even from puddles and not being able to bathe.

"But, today, who can build a cistern? A bag of cement costs 4,000 pesos on the street and 7,000 in MSMEs, and the rod costs 3,500," reflected the man, who daily must deal with the discomfort of his family and economic desperation in the face of the crisis.

According to Joaquín, after going to numerous instances,Service was restored in your community last Friday, but it did not last long.

He also reported that last Wednesday they sent a pipe but without a hose, and the neighbors gathered around to be able to take the liquid to their homes, a spectacle that he described as deplorable.

"If you are going to send a pipe to a place where people have tanks up (on the roofs), how are you going to send them one without a hose or anything," he denounced14 intervene.

Also from Santa Fe is Mrs. Gloria, a 47-year-old housewife who reported that the community has gone 18 days without drinking water service.

Tired of this situation affecting people, especially children, she went to local Acueducto officials looking for the causes.

The woman explained that the director's response was that they did not install the turbines because the water "is dirty."

Some residents of the community of Santa Fe, in Guanabacoa, prefer not to go to officials for fear of reprisals and because they do not resolve anything, according to14 intervene.

The water supply is not the only problem of the community, also harmed by theblackouts and the poor quality of the roads, reported the news portal.

The community of Santa Fe, in Havana, is not the only one in the country affected by the lack of the precious liquid and by the evasion and apathy of the leaders of the regime.

At the beginning of March, in the Havana town of Cojímar, a mother exploded on social networks andHe reported that water has not reached his house for more than a month.

Teresa Castro expressed her deep indignation at the critical situation faced by the town in the east of the capital and described the hardships experienced by children and the elderly, mainly.

From Mayabeque,a young man claimed to have laboratory tests that indicate the presence ofPseudomonas, Escherichia coli "and many more things" in the water that reaches Santa Cruz del Norte, and denounced that they are the cause of diarrheal diseases.

Given the lack of water in Santiago de Cuba, the first secretary of the Party in the eastern province, Beatriz Johnson Urrutia, responded to the population not to despair, that the water would reach them in a week: "Thateveryone will have their little bit of water within a week, and that people know that they will receive a little water tomorrow, or the day after, or the next day, so that no one despairs."

During the massive protests of March 17,The people of Santiago shouted Freedom! right under Johnson's nose, while she was on a rooftop trying to calm the crowd.
