On the morning of this Thursday, a blue bus dedicated to passenger transport was involved in a serious accident in the municipality of Palma Soriano, as reported on social media by journalist Yosmany Mayeta.
Despite the shocking images that have been circulated, it seems that in the incident "there were only minor injuries, damage to the vehicle, and to the posts that are being repaired by the Electric Company."
The source indicated that it was initially reported that the driver had suffered a heart attack, but added that this hypothesis was refuted and the actual causes of the accident, which occurred on Martí Street in the aforementioned Santiago town, remain unknown.
According to the photos of the scene that were published, it appears that the vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a masonry utility pole.
As a result of the strong collision, the vehicle sustained significant damage to the front, the pole fell, and with it, an electric transformer was destroyed.
