A Cuban doctor has found himself in a critical situation after losing all his belongings in a fire that occurred on Monday, February 17, in the municipality of Placetas, Villa Clara.

The disaster originated in one of the houses located on 1st Street North, between 6th and 7th West, and rapidly spread to the neighboring homes.

Fortunately, there were no fatalities, but the material losses were total in two homes, and partial in another two, leaving families without shelter or basic resources.

"This man needs help; he is a doctor and lost everything due to the fire in Placetas. I called him and offered my assistance. If anyone from Zulueta wishes to contribute anything, no matter how small—a sweater, a pair of socks, shorts, whatever it may be—it will be taken to him next Saturday.
