Another resident, Yisel Padrón, reported that the incident occurred "at 4:20 a.m." and that she lives directly above the site of the impact. "Everyone walked out. Wishing a swift recovery to all," she stated.

So far, the causes of the accident have not been clarified, although several users have pointed to the possibility that the vehicle experienced problems with the steering. The images reveal the extent of the impact, with broken glass scattered on the road and structural damage to the car.

This new incident adds to the concerning statistics of traffic accidents in Cuba, many of which are linked to the poor technical condition of vehicles and the lack of proper signage.

The poor technical condition of vehicles from the 1940s and 1950s that still circulate in Cuba (known as "almendrones") is responsible for many accidents similar to the one that occurred this Saturday in Havana.

In December 2024, a classic car also crashed into an electric pole in Havana. The incident occurred at Avenida 51 and Calle 134.

In January 2021, another almendrón crashed into a pole at the corner of Línea and G, in the Havana neighborhood of El Vedado. Social media users noted that it was a car from Marianao that was covering the Playa (3rd)-Havana route.
