A serious traffic accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon in the Las Guásimas area of Arroyo Naranjo (Havana) resulted in significant material damage and left a motorcyclist injured, whose condition is still unknown.
According to social media posts and witnesses at the scene, the incident occurred when a private car, a Hyundai Palisade (license plate P271494), one of the most modern SUVs from the South Korean manufacturer circulating in Cuba, allegedly ran a stop sign and collided head-on with a motorcycle traveling on the main road.
The images shared on Facebook by the user Alexander Rios Cruz show the large vehicle with its front end completely destroyed after the collision, while the motorcycle lay on the pavement with significant damage to its structure. Several plastic and metal parts from both vehicles were scattered across the street.
The accident quickly drew the attention of dozens of neighbors, who gathered at the scene to observe and assist the motorcyclist. However, no official reports have emerged regarding the identity or health status of the motorcycle rider so far.
