The Venezuelan regime of Nicolás Maduro sent a ship to Cuba loaded with a donation of 6,000 tons of food, fertilizers, and other products.

The vessel Manuel Gual, which arrived on the morning of this Saturday at the Mariel Special Development Zone, was welcomed by the Prime Minister of the Cuban regime, Manuel Marrero Cruz, reported the official press.

The ship is carrying "six thousand tons of cargo, which includes food for the supply of the population and animal breeding, as well as fertilizers and seeds, with the aim of contributing to the well-being of the Cuban people," the information states.

The donation is part of the economic recovery program that both countries are developing together, said Orlando Maneiro, Venezuela's ambassador to Cuba, during the reception ceremony.

The ship is part of "a regional maritime transport solution that promotes the productive and sustainable development of the member countries" of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), he added.

On the Cuban side, Carlos Luis Jorge Méndez, interim Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, stated that the donation is received "with the sincere affection of the Venezuelan people and government towards Cuba, as a clear example that no difficulty can stop the shared will and determination."

The donation arrives amid the increasing tensions between the Venezuelan regime and the Trump Administration.

The United States has deployed eight warships in the waters of the Caribbean and the Pacific in recent days as part of a "reinforced anti-drug operation," which has been interpreted as a direct message against Maduro.

In this context, the Cuban regime has reaffirmed its unconditional support for its Venezuelan ally.

"All the solidarity and support from Cuba to the Bolivarian and Chavista Revolution, led by President Nicolás Maduro," wrote Díaz-Canel on X last week, asserting that the "strength of the civic-military union in Venezuela will defeat imperialist threats."

Havana aligns itself with Caracas at a time of heightened regional tension. Washington also doubled the reward for the capture of Maduro, from 25 to 50 million dollars.

The Pentagon insists that the operation is part of the fight against drug trafficking, but both Caracas and Havana denounce it as an interventionist maneuver.

Maduro, accused by the U.S. of leading the Cartel of the Suns and coordinating massive cocaine shipments, responded surrounded by military personnel and with a defiant tone: any attempt at capture, he warned, could signify “the end of the American empire”. At the same time, he activated the mobilization of millions of militia members to "defend seas, skies, and lands."
