The influencer and entrepreneur Sandro Castro surprised many Cubans this Sunday by publishing an emotional message in support of the reggaeton artist Yosvanis Sierra Hernández, best known as Chocolate MC.
His statements came after learning that the musician was found guilty in a trial in Miami for "posting direct threats" against Damián Valdez Galloso, the alleged murderer of El Taiger.
In a video shared on his Instagram profile, Sandro addressed the King of the Cast with words of encouragement.
Yosvanis, you didn't deserve what happened to you. We will always remember you. You were great in music, the creator of Reparto. Please, never stop composing wherever you are, and never stop bringing the energy,” he expressed, touching his heart.
The guilty verdict for Chocolate was revealed last week, following less than an hour of deliberation by the Miami court. The case has moved to the sentencing phase, under the direction of Judge Milton Hirsch, who cautioned that the sentencing guidelines could include life imprisonment.
The case has generated significant impact within the Cuban community, both in Miami and in Havana. The message from Sandro Castro has been interpreted as a demonstration of empathy towards one of the most controversial artists in Cuban reggaeton.
