The Cuban content creator Adita Rodríguez (@adita__rdgz) sparked a buzz on social media with a video where she candidly discussed the things she dislikes about other Cubans.
Adita mentioned three attitudes that, according to her, are difficult to tolerate. At number one, she placed the greeting of Cubans. Years can pass without seeing each other, and the first thing they do is judge your physical appearance.
"‘You look so thin!’ or ‘You look so fat!’, ‘You look so old!’… Who asked you? You have no idea what internal battles each person is fighting,” the young woman remarked.
Secondly, he criticized the habit of "scanning" others particularly focusing on their clothing or style of dress, something he has discovered while living outside of Cuba is not a common behavior among people from other cultures.
Finally, she pointed out the machismo in Cuban society. “It seems strange to me because we women are independent, hardworking, we contribute at home, but if we go out, it’s wrong. In contrast, men are celebrated.”
