Several drivers reported rock throwings at vehicles traveling on the Ignacio Curve road in the province of Camagüey, an incident that has raised alarm among drivers in the area.

The warning was posted on Facebook by Irma Lidia Broek, who alerted that unknown individuals are throwing stones at cars on the road, an incident that once again highlights the insecurity faced by the Cuban population, although in this case, the situation may also affect tourists.

According to the publication, among those affected is a bus heading to Tercer Frente, which was stoned, causing passengers to experience moments of great tension.

"It is essential to maintain the highest level of vigilance possible due to the presence of individuals throwing stones at vehicles," Broek pointed out, urging drivers to exercise caution and inform the relevant authorities to prevent a tragedy.

In the comments on the post, several users demanded an immediate response from the National Revolutionary Police (PNR).

"The first thing is to inform the police before a tragedy occurs," wrote a user identified as Silvia Rubio Garmendia.

Other internet users questioned the absence of patrols and demanded the installation of a checkpoint in the area.

"They should have set up a tent or a kiosk with police. This has gotten out of hand for them because they don't want to make sacrifices," commented Marilin Matos Reyes.

The reactions reflect citizens' concern over the increase in violent incidents and the sense of insecurity on Cuban roads, particularly in dark or poorly monitored areas such as the Curva de Ignacio, where drivers claim that police presence is minimal.

The situation of insecurity on the roads and transportation in Cuba has generated constant concern among the population.

The recent case of stone-throwing attacks against vehicles at the Curva de Ignacio in Camagüey adds to a series of similar incidents that have been impacting both private and state transportation.

Months ago, systematic attacks against national trains were reported in several provinces, a phenomenon that has been documented by passengers and railway authorities.

These violent actions have put hundreds of people at risk and reflect an increasingly hostile environment in rural and peripheral areas of the country.

In parallel, incidents have occurred such as the stoning of a train in motion, which resulted in broken windows and shocked passengers.

These acts of vandalism not only damage already deteriorated infrastructure but also heighten the perception of risk in essential public spaces such as interprovincial transportation.

In addition to all this, the fragility of the electrical system has led to large-scale blackouts and has affected the operation of railway transport and lighting in critical areas.

The collapse of SEN in the eastern part of the country rendered several sections out of service, impacting safety on both roads and at stations.
