A Cuban influencer residing in Miami, known on social media as Belixa (@beluuh___), tearfully reported the detention of her husband by agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), despite the fact that the man has no criminal record or fines in the United States.

Belixa is a digital creator, CEO, and founder of the brand @eternaljewelry__, and she often shares motivational quotes, lifestyle content from Miami, and fashion in her social media videos.

The young woman has been living with her partner in Miami for several years, but he has an I-220A form and was in court this Thursday, where he was violently arrested by ICE.

“I am making this video outside the immigration court here in Miami because my husband has just been taken into custody,” Belixa began, visibly shaken.

"He had his first court appearance, and when he walked out the door, ICE was there to detain him in handcuffs, as if he were a criminal. He is a person who doesn't even have a parking ticket in this country," he recounted.

The young woman explained that they have both worked since their arrival in the United States and even opened their own business. “The only thing we have done from day one is work, to do everything right for this country to get ahead,” she stated.

Between sobs, she asked for help and support from the community. "If you could please share this video, anyone who can help us or whatever it may be, I would be grateful," she expressed with a lump in her throat.

So far, the official reasons for the detention are unknown, but similar cases have been reported in Miami and other cities in the United States, where ICE has detained immigrants with open asylum cases or without any criminal offenses, amid a tightening of immigration policies.
