A resident of the Havana municipality of Regla recorded a video during an unexpected power outage to expose the daily collapse caused by electrical cuts, shortages, and the lack of basic services, accusing the Cuban government of a systematic abandonment of the people.

The woman, visibly exhausted, reported that the Electric Company did not adhere to the announced schedule and cut off the service hours earlier than expected, leaving the food and laundry unfinished.

He assured that this situation affects sick individuals, children recovering from viruses, and families that no longer have gas for cooking, according to the recording shared by user Hermes Yasell-CubaFace on their Facebook profile.

"That's not possible in this country," the woman asserted, pointing out that the blackouts have become unpredictable and destructive.

During her testimony, she explained that a contrast occurred in Regla that outraged her, as while the headquarters of the telecommunications monopoly ETECSA remained illuminated, the municipal clinic was completely dark.

He described this scene as "an outrageous display" and a symbol of the government's distorted priorities.

The neighbor directly blamed the country's leadership for what she describes as a widespread deterioration, evidenced by the accumulation of garbage, lack of medications, unattended illnesses, poor hygiene, and an emotional toll that, she claimed, is “wearing down the psyche of the Cuban people.”

He criticized the leader Miguel Díaz-Canel for justifying the crisis with the embargo and .

The woman also criticized the fear that prevents many Cubans from stepping out to demand basic rights such as electricity, water, and food, although she emphasized that collective fatigue is growing.

He recalled recent power outages lasting up to 16 hours and warned that the shortage is threatening even the little food available in households.

The video concludes with a call to share their complaints without fear and a message directed at those who defend the system.

For her, what the country is experiencing is a sustained abuse that deprives the population of alternatives for leading a dignified life.

In mid-October, residents of the Regla municipality blocked a street to protest the prolonged water shortage, using buckets and containers to block access and demand the restoration of the service.

Shortly after, authorities sent seven water trucks in an attempt to quell public discontent.

A month earlier, the residents of La Loma de Fumero, in the municipality of Regla, took to the streets to protest by banging pots and shouting slogans against the indifference of the authorities, tired of a month without water service and in the midst of another blackout.

This Saturday, residents of the El Marañón neighborhood in Yariguá, in the province of Las Tunas, took to the Central Highway to protest against the prolonged blackouts they have been experiencing for nearly a week.
