A Cuban identified as Nelson Michel Peña, 42 years old, was arrested by the Miami Beach police after being charged with breaking and entering and indecent exposure.

According to Local 10 News, the arrest occurred after the police linked him to an incident that took place on November 23 in front of the home of a 72-year-old woman.

According to the report, the victim reviewed the images from her camera and saw a man approach her door, expose himself, and masturbate in front of the device.

The report adds that the individual rang the doorbell before leaving, and that the woman went out to see who was at the door, but found no one, which led her to check the video.

The video showed the Cuban wearing a white hat, a light blue shirt, dark jeans, gray sneakers, and a camouflage backpack.

The victim expressed concerns for her safety due to her age and found the situation "strange," worrying that the behavior might escalate.

The researchers noted that they identified Peña through police databases and from a previous arrest for exhibitionism on June 1, a case for which he was subsequently convicted, according to the document.

Additionally, the consulted records reflect previous arrests for exhibitionism and voyeurism, which the police described as a “pattern of behavior.”

The report also indicates that the victim identified Peña as someone he knew from when he lived in an adjacent building with his mother.

The woman stated that the accused has a “long history of violent criminal behavior” and that he is “well-known in the area” for obscene and lewd incidents, which heightened her fear.

Peña resides at Camillus House, a shelter for homeless people in Miami-Dade. According to the document, the suspect was located and arrested on Tuesday, one block away from the victim's home.

After being located, Peña was first taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center for evaluation under the Baker Act, before being formally arrested and transferred to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, according to the report.

His arrest report includes an apprehension for robbery and illegal occupancy and several for indecent exposure.

Other charges refer to possession of a controlled substance and resisting an officer without violence, according to the same text.
