The Cuban regime deployed a police and forestry operation in the municipality of Céspedes, province of Camagüey, to recover more than 150 rams that had been stolen, according to the official page Verdades a Través del Móvil.

According to the publication, the so-called "Blue Heroes" —a propaganda name used to refer to the National Revolutionary Police (PNR)—, along with the local forest rangers, carried out a "swift and joint action" that allowed for the recovery of the allegedly stolen animals. The official text praised the "collaboration between law enforcement and the community" and emphasized that the event "helps to protect the people's assets."

However, the publication did not provide details regarding who the owners of the animals were, where the theft exactly took place, or whether there are any arrests, which raised doubts and criticisms among the users themselves.

Several users on social media expressed that the report "lacks basic data" such as names, locations, or circumstances of the theft, while others questioned the vigilance of the owners and the role of local authorities.

Some people also expressed distrust towards police actions in other areas of Camagüey, asserting that “criminals collaborate with the police and nothing happens.” Others took the opportunity to report the inaction of authorities in neighboring municipalities, where victims of livestock theft have been fined despite reporting the incidents.

Other comments, in line with the official narrative, repeated the usual labels of the regime's propaganda: “#ZeroImpunity, #BlueHeroes, #SafeCuba.”

The post, accompanied by images of rams and uniformed officers, is part of the campaign by the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) that aims to showcase police effectiveness in response to the rising theft of livestock and rural insecurity in the country. According to previous reports from independent media, farmers from several provinces have reported a lack of resources and the impunity with which gangs engaged in animal theft operate.
