A video posted on the TikTok account of Cuban creator Yoyi went viral this Wednesday due to a humorous remark from his grandmother, who laughs as she claims that former Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro is in prison "together with Chocolate MC" in New York.

In the clip, the woman appears smiling while speaking directly to the camera. "Maduro in jail is with Chocolate, and Chocolate is telling Maduro things."

“They put them together, chocolate is where they caught Maduro, over there in New York,” says the grandmother amidst laughter, while Yoyi films her in close-up.

The video quickly generated thousands of reactions on social media, especially due to the mix of two very different figures: Maduro, accused of serious charges in the United States, and the Cuban reggaeton artist Chocolate MC.

Maduro was captured and transferred to New York to face federal charges of drug trafficking, conspiracy, and weapon possession following a special forces operation by the United States. He appeared before a court in Manhattan, where he pleaded not guilty.

Chocolate MC is not linked to Maduro's cause nor is he in the same prison as the former Venezuelan president. The Cuban reggaeton artist, whose real name is Yosvanis Arismín Sierra Hernández, has faced multiple judicial proceedings in Miami and has been incarcerated in correctional facilities in that county for various charges, including theft, drug possession, and other offenses.

The popularity of the clip lies precisely in the spontaneity of the grandmother, who humorously blends international events with urban entertainment topics, resulting in memes and responses from users recalling the current legal situation of both individuals.

Users commented that the video showcases the sense of humor of the Cuban community regarding political and entertainment issues. Others took the opportunity to recall the judicial case involving Chocolate MC and the federal case against Maduro in the United States.
