The MINREX official Johana Tablada assured this Sunday that millions of Cubans are willing to give their lives to defend the regime and Cubans have responded with sarcasm.
“Don't speak for us anymore, speak for yourself ma'am, your good life, the lobsters, the shrimp, and the air conditioning are about to come to an end, enjoy your last days of partying,” a Cuban has told her in a comment on CiberCuba's post sharing the news.
"What amazes me about this is that they speak for the people as if they had no voice; more than half of Cuba, I would say about 75 percent, wants that dictatorship to disappear," another stated.
Another Cuban took it humorously: “That's just chatter, and it already has a cavity.”
"What do they think they are defending after 65 years of hunger and need? That revolution has failed for many years; it is impossible to defend the indefensible. Down with the narcodictatorship. It has been many years of suffering and pain, families separated by a failed ideology. Down with communism," declared another.
Another person requested, "First conduct a survey to truly know how many millions there are, because not many of those 11 million remain, and among those that are left, we need to see how many are available. Clear accounting maintains friendships!" said another.
"She in Mexico and the kids in Europe! How lovely!!!!" another person remarked sarcastically.
The official from the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Johana Tablada de la Torre, stated this Sunday that millions of Cubans would be willing to give their lives to defend the regime.
“Even if 32 internationalist Cubans fell defending sister Venezuela and our America in Caracas, imagine how many millions we would be willing to fight and shed our blood for Cuba, our sacred homeland, if they dare to attack us,” said Z.
“The message from Trump, fueled by the lies of the rat that is Rubio, is filled with bragging, ignorance, disrespectful contempt, and useless threats and intimidation phrases. No more oil to Cuba! Zero! The emperor has proclaimed: Surrender!!” he added in a thread.
The ambassador in Mexico and deputy director for North America at MINREX has been active on social media this Sunday following the ultimatum sent by Trump to the regime.
This Sunday, he lashed out at the U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio following Trump's message to the Cuban regime.
“Marco Rubio, the cowardly and deceitful distant bully, Secretary of State, national security advisor, chief of USAID funds for intervention and disinformation operations, managed to get Trump to dedicate his threat and ultimatum to us on Sunday,” said Tablada, posting screenshots of Trump’s message.
A little earlier, the ambassador in Mexico and deputy director for North America of MINREX, had responded on Facebook to Trump's message with the regime's usual slogans.
"Upon reading the Sunday threat to Cuba from the leader of the U.S. bully cartel, he declared: 'Homeland or Death, We Shall Overcome!'" he said.
“No more oil or money for Cuba. Nothing!” wrote U.S. President Donald Trump on his social media platform Truth Social this Sunday, in a message that made it clear that Washington aims to suffocate the regime after the fall of chavismo and the end of Venezuelan support.
Trump even recommended to Havana to “reach an agreement before it’s too late.”
