Radio and television broadcasts in the province of Ciego de Ávila have been facing serious disruptions for several days due to the crisis of the National Electric System and the lack of diesel for emergency generators.

According to the Provincial Division of Radiocuba in Ciego de Ávila, the issues affect both radio (AM and FM) and both analog and digital television, as the Television and FM Transmitter Center does not have enough fuel to ensure its operation during the blackouts.

According to the post on Facebook by Televisión Avileña, the outages also affect several municipalities, including Bolivia, Chambas, and Florencia, as well as the transmitter in Cayo Coco.

The entity apologized to the public for the inconveniences caused, in a context marked by prolonged blackouts and increasing difficulties in maintaining basic services on the island.
