The reunion of a Cuban mother with her children after a long wait has touched thousands of people on social media. The video, posted by the user @vida05063 on TikTok, shows the moment when the woman breaks down in tears while embracing her three children on a street in Cuba, after so much time without being able to see them.

Her cry, deep and restrained for years, reflects a story shared by many Cuban mothers who had to leave their children behind in search of a better future outside the island. “That's right, my beautiful... it's hard, how it hurts to have them so far away,” she wrote through tears in response to a follower who is experiencing the same.

In the comments, hundreds of people identified with her pain. "Only those of us who have had to separate from our children understand that crying," commented one user. "I also have mine in Cuba, and it hurts every day," added another.

The video has garnered thousands of reactions and has become a symbol of what many Cuban families experience, marked by distance and emigration. One follower simply and truthfully summed it up: “There is no greater sacrifice than that of a mother who leaves everything behind to give her children a better future.”
