A video posted on TikTok by user @elmego011 has sparked intense debate on social media after the creator showcased the interior of his home in Cuba.

In the images, the young man walks through his house, where modern furniture, a well-equipped living room, decorative carpets, and a flat-screen television can be seen, while the video displays the message: “I come from having nothing. For me, everything is a gain” and “Little house in Cuba.”

The images quickly went viral, and as often happens with this type of content, the comments were divided between support and criticism. Many users celebrated the young man's personal effort and saw it as an example of overcoming the challenges faced by most Cubans.

Among the supportive messages, comments include: "You deserve this and much more, don't stop fighting, there is no limit," "Congratulations, humble people are happy with what is little for many," and "Blessings, keep moving forward."

However, criticisms and ironic messages also emerged. Some users hinted that the achievements displayed are only possible thanks to assistance from abroad, while others questioned the rhetoric of prosperity in a context marked by the economic crisis on the Island.

"You'll see the resentful ones 'free to express, but not to work,' telling you that thanks to the yuma, you have something," wrote an internet user, anticipating the kind of negative reactions that usually accompany this type of post.

The video brings back to the forefront a recurring topic on social media: the polarization created by content where Cubans showcase material improvements in Cuba. For some, these are stories of sacrifice and perseverance; for others, they are provocations that ignore the harsh reality faced by a large portion of the population.

Meanwhile, the creator of the video seems to have a clear message: beyond opinions, he proudly showcases what he has achieved and makes it clear that, coming from scarcity, every progress matters.
